1. I am thankful for the golden sun rising o'er the lofty peaks;
    I am thankful for the close of day, the sunset in the western sky,
    For the rain, as it falls so clear and freshening on Mother Earth,
    For gently falling snow so white, in these my Father dear,
                 I feel thy love and might.

2. I am thankful for the miracle of the newborn babe.
    I am thankful for the sparkle in the eyes and lives of eager youth;
    For the wisdom and the strength the Savior sends us in our sunset years,
    In loving family and friends, my Father dear
                 I feel thy love that never ends.

3. I am thankful for the miracle of testimony born each day.
    I am thankful for the joy in the missionaries eyes and lives,
   And for their faith and their strength to spread the gospel throughout the earth,
   When loving family and friends, are sealed by Thee
                 I feel thy love that never ends.

4. I am thankful for the freedom sweet to work and seek for righteous dreams;
    I am thankful to be of service to my fellowmen,
   And for a prophet to lead and guide us safely thru the narrow way;
   That we may yet return to Thee, in these, my Father dear,
                I know thy love for me. I'm thankful.
